Rev. Dr. Eric A. Thomas is a dynamic leader who is making a profound impact on Siloam and the broader community. As Siloam’s first openly same-gender loving pastor, he embodies the church’s commitment to inclusivity and acceptance.
Rev. Thomas’s vision and energy have revitalized Siloam. From much-needed building repairs to the establishment of the Siloam CDC of Bed Stuy, he’s focused on meeting the needs of the community. He has fostered strong partnerships with organizations like Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Gay Men of African Descent, and Covenant House, further extending Siloam’s reach.
With a Ph.D. in Bible and Culture and a Master of Divinity, Rev. Thomas brings a deep understanding of faith and its intersection with social justice. He is also a respected educator, serving as Assistant Professor of Bible at the General Theological Seminary.
